The Head, Heart, & Hands: March 20th, 2022

Rachel Cantu   -

Hey Central Hope! Welcome to our Weekly Worship, where we release the set list for the upcoming Sunday and offer a guide to worship our God with our Head, Heart and Hands.

At Central Hope, we believe our weekly worship of God should engage the head, heart, and hand. We say this because God has commanded us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. So each week, we will highlight an upcoming song and reflect on how that song engages our Head, Heart, and Hand. We hope you can enjoy these songs throughout your week on your commute to work, in the line at school, or at home!

This week, we will be singing:

This week, we will reflect on In Christ Alone, written in 2001 by Stuart Townsend and Keith Getty.

“In Christ alone who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless babe.”

Worship God with your head and reflect on his character in Hebrews 2:14 – “Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself [Jesus] likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.”

“No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me.”

Worship God with your heart and feel empowered by the Spirit in Colossians 1:11-12 – “May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.”

“Til he returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.”

Worship God with your hands by practicing Colossians 1:28-29 – “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that powerfully works within me.”

See you Sunday! – Justin
